Headline: Putin and Xi Jinping to Deepen Cooperation Amidst Controversial Allegations and Historical Tensions

In an interview with the Chinese state news agency "Xinhua," Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his intention to further deepen cooperation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. This announcement comes as the two leaders are expected to engage in important discussions in the near future, with Trump indicating plans to speak with Putin soon.

Putin's visit to China is set to focus on new steps to deepen bilateral cooperation, as the two nations continue to work towards the "noble goal of the prosperity of our great nations." Russia, being the main supplier of oil and gas to China, and China, Russia's main trading partner, are also working on reducing trade barriers for each other. Calculations between the countries are "almost entirely switched to national currencies," further strengthening their economic ties.

However, the meeting is not without controversy. No prior context was provided about the US President Donald Trump's alleged proposal regarding Chinese troops in Ukraine. The issue is yet to be addressed publicly by either Putin or Xi Jinping.

The leaders also addressed historical tensions, with Putin accusing the West of "falsifying the history of World War II." This statement echoes Russia and China's "resolute condemnation" of attempts to distort the history of World War II. Putin also stated that historical truth is being "falsified and suppressed" by a number of Western countries.

Despite these tensions, Putin and Xi Jinping share "similar views" on key issues of global security. Their cooperation within the UN is at an "unprecedentedly high level," with Putin thanking China for its cooperation within the international body.

Putin praised China's "sincere desire to comprehensively develop the relationship of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction" with Russia. This mutual respect and shared goals bode well for the future of the relationship between these two powerful nations.
