Breaking News: Series of Burglaries and Thefts Reported Across Southeast Hesse

A series of burglaries and thefts have been reported across Southeast Hesse in recent days, according to the latest update from Police Headquarters Southeast Hesse.

In Hanau/Kesselstadt, an elderly woman had jewelry stolen from her by two unknown individuals in a dark blue or black station wagon on Saturday morning. The perpetrators have not been publicly identified. Witnesses who can provide information are asked to call the criminal police at 06181 100-123.

In a similar incident, two masked individuals broke into an outdoor swimming pool office in Langenselbold and stole some cash and approximately four kilograms of coffee. This burglary occurred about an hour and a half after a similar incident at a swimming pool in Sinntal. The police are investigating whether there might be a connection between the two incidents.

In Schoeneck, a burglar was caught by an 83-year-old homeowner in his bathroom on Saturday afternoon. The burglar fled through a bathroom window after being caught.

In Bruchkoebel, thieves stole a high-value wristwatch and several hundred euros in cash from an SUV on Thursday.

In Stahlbachstraße, a burglar had previously forced open a basement window of a single-family house and entered the house. The thieves fled in an unknown direction after the theft.

In Obermarkersdorfer Straße in the Niederissigheim district, an SUV was parked on a parking lot. The passenger of the car, estimated to be around 30 years old, approached an elderly woman and put worthless fashion jewelry on her before taking her real jewelry. The station wagon drove off from a nearby nursing home driveway around 11:15 AM, blocking the elderly woman's path.

Witnesses who can provide information are encouraged to call the criminal police at 06181 100-123. The stolen jewelry included a gold necklace, a gold bracelet, and a gold ring.
