Displayed Book at Rawson Fair: "They'll Come for You" - Blending Literature and Neuroscience
The third edition of the Rawson book fair, held in the SUM of schools No. 4 and No. 752, with the accompaniment of the Province, created a climate of closeness, as reading activities, workshops, and talks provided a space where readers met face to face with writers. This year, the fair gathered around forty stands of institutions and publishers and a similar number of writers and illustrators, including invited guests from different provinces.
One of the most anticipated presentations was that of Marcela Guilligan, who presented her novel "Coming for You", published by Leamos, the digital editorial of our website. The novel, a bridge between the intellectual and the practical, proposes a narrative and spiritual journey that functions as a contemporary spiritual guide, integrating elements of neuroscience, biodecoding, and Hermetic traditions. Marcela stated that her novel is an invitation for each reader to find signs of a path of transformation in their own life.
Another emotional moment was the tribute to illustrator and writer Juan Chavetta, creator of the famous cartoon Puro Pelo, who recently passed away. Norberto Moscoloni remembered Juan Chavetta with just a few words that moved the entire audience.
Local book fairs are cultural roots that grow from the community and have their own power. At the stand of the Malvinas Veterans, young Cintia Vallegu presented a project born in Playa Unión and now a national map of memorials. Seeing how the sea eroded the beach and put the monuments at risk, she began to collect photos and records of plaques from all over the country.
The fair added symbolic value to the celebration of the city's cultural identity. Eduardo Costantini was honored as a Meritorious Personality of Culture. The opening of the Rawson fair was attended by Osvaldo Labastie, Damían Biss, Daniel Tamame, Roberto Moscoloni, and Flavia Helguero, who stated that the fair grows each year with more commitment and participation.
In other cultural news, Banksy's new artwork is set to be removed, creating a dilemma between heritage protection and freedom of expression. The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra is set to debut at the Colón Theatre, promising an unforgettable musical experience.
While some details about Marcela Guilligan and her novel "They Will Come For You" remain unverified, it is clear that the Rawson book fair continues to be a vibrant celebration of local talent and a testament to the power of community-driven cultural events.
