Turkey suffered their biggest home defeat in 41 years, surpassing their previous record of an 8-0 loss to England in 1984. This heavy defeat was a stark contrast to Spain's unyielding defence, which did not concede any goals in the second half.

In the Group E qualification standings, Spain leads with six points, followed by Georgia and Turkey, who are tied with three points each. Bulgaria remains at the bottom with zero points. Spain's impressive goal difference of +9 further underscores their dominance in the group.
