Wüstenrot Bausparkasse, a leading financial services provider, has announced improvements to its customer service following complaints from one of its customers. The improvements are aimed at addressing the communication issues reported by some customers, with a focus on making the process of opening and managing savings accounts more straightforward and user-friendly.

The changes, which have been in the works for several months, include the introduction of understandable step-by-step guidelines, a barrier-free digital account opening process, and accessible customer service through phone, digital, or in-person channels. The company also promises to offer information in easily readable fonts, with high contrast and simple language, to ensure that all customers can access and understand the details of their accounts.

The customer in question, who opened a savings account with Wüstenrot Bausparkasse in July 2024, had previously opened five other savings accounts with the company over the past two years. The customer reported that the communication and technology in those accounts were better than in the most recent account.

In an effort to improve the overall user experience for its customers, Wüstenrot Bausparkasse has also promised to display account balances automatically in the Wüstenrot customer portal from autumn 2024. All investors who have a savings or fixed-term deposit account with Wüstenrot Bausparkasse will benefit from this feature.

In addition to these improvements, Wüstenrot Bausparkasse is also offering a 3.00% p.a. interest rate for a term of four months to new customers for deposits up to 100,000 euros. This offer is available to all new customers who open a savings account with the company.

The customer's savings account with Wüstenrot Bausparkasse offers a guaranteed interest rate of 3.75% for 12 months. However, the "Jubilee offer" with a 3.75% p.a. interest rate and a 12-month interest guarantee expired in mid-August 2024.

Wüstenrot & Württembergische AG, the parent company of Wüstenrot Bausparkasse, has stated that they are currently working on further improvements to provide an optimal user experience for all customers. The company hopes that these changes will ensure that all investors have a smooth and informative experience with Wüstenrot Bausparkasse.

The customer's conclusion was that past savings accounts with Wüstenrot Bausparkasse had better communication and technology, and the company is working to address these issues and improve the overall customer experience. The changes are expected to be rolled out over the coming months.
