District Reports from Ravensburg: Information from the Ravensburg Area
In the past few days, the Ravensburg District has seen a series of incidents, including a hit-and-run, burglaries, and drunk driving cases.
On Friday afternoon, an unknown driver caused approximately 2,000 euros worth of damage to a telephone pole and a metal post in Schlier. The driver, who fled the scene without reporting the incident, remains at large.
On the same day, around 1 pm on Biberacher Straße, a 60-year-old motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident. The accident was caused by a 46-year-old Opel driver who pulled out of a driveway onto the road and failed to see the motorcyclist.
Moving on to Monday, a 27-year-old driver was stopped around 11:30 pm on Egelseestraße in Bad Waldsee. A 56-year-old driver was also stopped at the same location 45 minutes later. Both drivers showed clear signs of alcohol consumption and were charged with driving under the influence. The 56-year-old's driver's license was confiscated on the spot.
In a separate incident on Monday night, officers from Weingarten Police Station removed two drunk drivers from the road in Bad Waldsee. The 56-year-old blew almost 1.6 per thousand, while the other driver's results are not yet available.
Meanwhile, Ravensburg Police Station is investigating a hit-and-run case in Schlier and is seeking witnesses with information about the driver or vehicle. Several hundred euros in damage was caused by an unknown person who tried to break into a pharmacy on Gegenbaurstraße overnight on Monday. The perpetrator forced a window open but was unable to enter the building due to a technical device. It is currently unknown if anything was stolen in the burglary.
The Vogt police station has taken up the investigation and does not rule out a connection to a further burglary in the nearby Wallmusried. An unknown burglar broke into a former railway keeper's house near Bärenweiler in recent weeks, but the search results do not provide any information about the person who led the police headquarters in Ravensburg recently.
In a different part of the district, a 57-year-old driver was stopped for a faulty brake light at 00:30, resulting in a DUI charge and potential license consequences.
