Four pupils from the music school Rhein-Kreis Neuss are taking part in the countrywide contest 'Jugend musiziert'. Milan Thuër hails from Korschenbroich, while Karl Dorn is from Kaarst.

In the recent "Jugend musiziert" competition, four students from the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Music School made a mark, winning prizes in various categories.

Charlotte Söntgerath and Aamir Mohammed stood out in the saxophone solo category, taking home first prizes with 24 and 23 points respectively. Fabian Novacic also won a first prize in the saxophone category, while Maike Schmitz received a second prize in the same category.

Max Heide secured a second prize in the tenor horn solo category, and Len Haskic won a first prize in the trumpet solo category. In the four-hand piano category, Ferdinand Albert and Lennart Ulrich participated successfully.

Karl Dorn won a first prize in the clarinet solo category with 23 points, and Milan Thüer won a first prize in the wind instruments, bassoon solo category, also with 24 points. Franca Stappen received a third prize in the guitar solo category.

The teachers at the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Music School expressed their satisfaction with their students' successes. Horst Beindressler, Waldemar Jankus, Harald Lochter, Ottmar Nagel, Dominik Oppel, Daniel Rothert, Itai Sobol, Christine Stemmler, and Peter Supplieth were all pleased with their students' performances at the state competition.

The competition will take place in Bremen and Bremerhaven from May 20 to 25.
