Diverse assortment of glitter, brain-teasers, comics, and additional items available
The City Library on Weilerstraße is hosting the Summer Reading Club, a free event for children and young people aged six to 15, commencing on August 5th.
Each Tuesday, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, the club meets to engage in a variety of creative and educational activities. The first meeting, themed "Bedazzling Books", invites participants to transform their books with glitter, beads, and other materials.
On August 12th, the theme is "Book Rally - Puzzle Fun with Records". The digital puzzle game focuses on spectacular world records, and those who find all the clues and crack the solution word will demonstrate their combinatorial skills.
The August 19th meeting will be dedicated to "Design Your Own Cover or Movie Poster". Participants can showcase their artistic talent by creating unique covers or movie posters for their favourite books.
On August 26th, the theme is "Detour into the World of Comics". This session encourages participants to turn a favourite book scene into a small comic.
The final meeting of the series, on September 2nd, is themed "The School of Magical Creatures". Everyone designs their own magical creature friend at this meeting.
The September 9th meeting is all about adding final touches to summer journals.
For more information and registration, visit the Medienportal's website. Registration can also be done at the city library in the Salzstadel or at the city library on Weilerstraße.
After the September 2nd meeting, games based on the popular book series will be played.
