Dortmund's 13th Waterfront Stroll Commences at Initial Docks
Get ready for an exciting day out as the 13th Harbor Stroll in Dortmund's North City is set to take place on August 30th. This annual event offers over 80 events at nearly 50 locations, making it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.
The day's itinerary is filled with a diverse range of activities. A shuttle bus will be available for guests, making it easy to explore the North City. The event timetables and shuttle bus stops can be found on the official website www.hafenspaziergang.echt-nordstadt.de/.
The Harbor Stroll offers something for everyone. For music lovers, the Songs & Stories stage in the Blučherpark will feature bands playing a variety of genres, including art punk, jazzcore, garage NDW, post-punk, and wave. Meanwhile, the Halleluyeah! festival in the Pauluskirche will offer musical performances suitable for the whole family.
Families with children will find numerous stops designed especially for them. There's a play street and face painting, while the Halleluyeah! festival also includes a magic show and a children's area.
For those seeking a bit more action, the Eiger climbing tower in the adventure world at Fredenbaum is a perfect stop. And for hungry visitors, several Dortmund breweries will be present, with the Nansen Restaurant on the southern Speicherstraße providing vegan and vegetarian options.
The ponton bridge over the harbor will be open for visitors from 1 PM to 7 PM during the Harbor Stroll, and Till Blackstein, co-organizer of the event, considers it to be the highlight. The official presentation of the events and participants was made by Michael Poguntke.
