Driving at a speed of 2.2 miles per mile in a vehicle
A 66-year-old woman found herself in legal trouble after an incident on the federal road B266 near Kall-Anstois on Wednesday, August 26.
The events unfolded at around 13:55 when a witness reported observing a car driver behaving erratically on the same road. The police were promptly notified, and they began an investigation.
Upon locating the woman at her residence, a voluntary breath alcohol test was conducted, which revealed a result of 2.2 per mille. This reading, significantly above the legal limit, indicated that the woman was driving under the influence.
In accordance with the law, the woman was subsequently arrested. At the police station in Schleiden, a blood sample was taken from her, and her further driving was prohibited. As a consequence, her driver's license was confiscated.
Additionally, a report was filed for driving under the influence. The woman was driving in the direction of Schleiden-Gemünd at the time of the incident.
This incident serves as a reminder to always drive responsibly and never under the influence. The authorities encourage anyone who witnesses such behaviour to report it immediately to ensure the safety of all road users.
