Drone Illumination in Munich Sky: A Spectacle of 150 UAVs Soaring above Isar River - Complete Coverage
The city of Munich is set to witness a unique and awe-inspiring event on September 6, 2023. Organised by the fibre optic provider M-net, the "M-net loves Munich" drone light show will take place above the Isar river, combining the latest technology with well-known symbols of the city.
The best view of this captivating light installation can be found between the Maximilian Bridge and the Ludwig Bridge, where the Isar Island Festival will take place directly on Steinsdorfstraße. The event is not a one-off, as M-net has plans to repeat the show at other locations along the Isar.
The drone light show will feature 150 drones, illuminating the Munich sky with fourteen different motifs. From the iconic Munich Child to the city's silhouette, pretzels, and other lovingly designed motifs, the show promises to be a tribute to the city's rich heritage.
M-net is also giving away a brand new DJI drone as part of the performance. However, the name of the lucky winner has yet to be announced.
Sebastian Fuchs, who made comments about the event, emphasised that the drone light show is intended to give something special to the people of Munich and show that M-net is part of their sense of belonging.
The performance begins at 9:10 PM and lasts approximately 13 minutes. With a radius of about three kilometers, given good weather conditions, the show is expected to be visible to a wide audience. So, mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable night under the Munich sky!
