Drug supplier acknowledges responsibility for Matthew Perry's fatal overdose

In a shocking turn of events, a drug supplier, infamously known as the "Ketamine Queen," has pleaded guilty to supplying the fatal dose of ketamine that led to the death of actor Matthew Perry in October 2023.

Perry, 54, was found dead in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023, in a hot tub. The news sent ripples of sorrow through the entertainment industry, as the beloved star of "Friends" had struggled publicly with addiction in the past.

The drug supplier, who is 42 years old, initially pleaded not guilty but later changed her plea. In exchange for her guilty plea, some charges and a trial were dropped by prosecutors. She admitted to supplying ketamine, among other things, and also admitted that four other individuals—two doctors, an assistant, and a friend of Matthew Perry—were involved in providing him with the drug.

One of the individuals charged and convicted in connection with Perry's death, besides the "Ketamine Queen," is Sangha, from whom Perry purchased large amounts of ketamine, including the fatal doses.

Ketamine, while a reliable anesthetic for decades, can also be used illegally as a club drug. It's worth noting that reports suggest that Perry had undergone ketamine therapy under medical supervision for depression and anxiety.

The drug supplier now faces a maximum sentence of 65 years in prison, with sentences for the other individuals involved expected to be handed down in the coming months.

Prior to his death, Perry had publicly discussed his struggles with addiction. The tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers associated with the misuse of prescription drugs and the dark underbelly of the black market.
