Drunk driver (aged 73) crashes into three parked vehicles in Ehrenfeld, according to Polish police, leading to an accident but no reported casualties.
On August 28, around 22:30, a collision occurred in the area of Friederikastraße / Knepperstraße, Bochum. A 73-year-old driver from Bochum was involved in a collision with three parked vehicles.
The collision resulted in significant damage to the parked vehicles, pushing one car into two more, causing them to move over a distance of more than 20 meters onto the sidewalk and adjacent curb.
Following the incident, the driver fled the scene but was later found sleeping and significantly intoxicated on a nearby parking lot. A breathalyzer test showed a reading of 1.62 promille for the elderly man. A doctor took a blood sample from him for further analysis.
The officers at the scene seized the 73-year-old's driver's license and car keys. The cars involved in the collision were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
The traffic commission has taken over the further investigation of the traffic accident on August 28th at the Bochum district Friederikastraße / Knepperstraße. The responsible authority for this investigation is the traffic criminal investigation department (Verkehrskommissariat) of the Bochum police.
