Dubai witnesses the conclusion of its first prosperous Energy Savings Performance Contract, executed by Etihad ESCO.
Dubai's ESPC project has marked a significant milestone in the city's transformation into a smart, green city. Completed in 2024 by the Etihad Energy Services Company (Etihad ESCO), the project underscores Dubai's aspirations to become a global center for innovation and energy efficiency.
The ESPC project, launched in 2015, was a retrofit project involving numerous facilities owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The retrofit included improvements to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, water systems, and building insulation. One of the key highlights of the project was the installation of advanced chillers with a magnetic bearing system at DEWA's headquarters.
