Dubai's 901 emergency call center fielded approximately 540,000 inquiries during the first half of 2025

In the heart of Dubai, the 901 Call Centre, established in 2002, stands as a beacon of community support and safety. This dedicated channel for non-emergency inquiries, operated by the Dubai Police, is committed to enhancing community happiness and making Dubai "the safest city."

Director of the Customer Happiness Centre at the General Department of Administrative Affairs, Abdullah Ibrahim, has praised the Emirati teams at the call centre for their round-the-clock service, professionalism, and efficiency. The centre operates through three platforms: calls, emails, smart applications, and chat services.

The first six months of 2025 saw the 901 Call Centre handling a significant number of communications. A total of 542,686 communications were managed, with 393,000 phone calls, 96,610 emails, and 53,076 instant messages. The centre ensures quick responses to calls and uses modern technologies to handle customer inquiries in multiple languages.

The second platform of the 901 Call Centre handles transaction-related calls through Dubai Police's smart channels. This includes services such as traffic inquiries, criminal-related services, certificate issuance, and general community support. The third platform manages customer inquiries via email, social media, and chat services, including the Dubai Police smart app, Police Eye app, crime reporting tools, and other digital services.

Ibrahim stated that the 901 Call Centre plays a key role in easing pressure on emergency hotlines. By providing a wide range of services and handling a substantial number of communications, the centre helps to ensure that only genuine emergencies are directed to the emergency services. This, in turn, contributes to the safety and wellbeing of the community.
