Dubai's DMCC enlists Vermiculus for cutting-edge Financial Technology solutions

In a series of events aimed at reinforcing Dubai's role as a global trade hub, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has been actively engaging with senior Nordic business leaders and government representatives.

The Helsinki roadshow, organised by DMCC in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Finland and the Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, brought together key stakeholders to discuss the opportunities that Dubai presents as a hub for global trade. The event was followed by a high-level luncheon in Dubai on 2 September, which will host the Ambassadors of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, as well as leaders from Dubai's Nordic business community.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, has been leading the charge. DMCC, the parent of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) and the Dubai Commodities Clearing Corporation (DCCC), is committed to enabling cutting-edge solutions, including the integration of artificial intelligence across industries.

In a significant move, DMCC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swedish FinTech Vermiculus. The partnership, formalized during DMCC's inaugural Made for Trade Live roadshow in Helsinki, Finland, focuses on the deployment of advanced financial technology solutions. The collaboration will aim to foster joint initiatives in knowledge sharing and the development of transformative projects.

The surge of interest from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden is evident, as firms increasingly select Dubai as their regional base. This trend was highlighted during the Made for Trade Live event, which underscores Dubai's role as a gateway for international businesses across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.

The partnership between DMCC and Vermiculus underscores Dubai's role as a gateway for international businesses seeking access to high-growth markets. The MoU is a testament to DMCC's efforts to reinforce its position as an enabler of cutting-edge solutions and a catalyst for growth in the region.

While no specific company is mentioned in the recent search results as having signed a collaboration with DMCC in September 2025, DMCC reported strong growth in Indian company registrations in 2025, indicating significant involvement of Indian firms with the free zone.

As DMCC continues to forge partnerships and attract businesses from around the world, it is clear that Dubai is positioning itself as a key player in the global trade landscape. The high-level luncheon in Dubai on 2 September promises to be another step in this direction, further cementing Dubai's status as a hub for global trade and commerce.
