Early Rises in Hanau as Nightlife Shuts Down

The 38th Hanau Schools Storytelling Competition, a cherished event in the city, has begun. The competition, which is now in its 38th year, is being held at the Culture Forum Hanau's Reading Café, with Hanau's Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri once again serving as its patron.

This year's theme, "When the night owls go to sleep - Early mornings in Hanau," invites students to share their unique perspectives on the city's early mornings. The competition aims to highlight new beginnings in Hanau, encouraging participants to let their own observations and ideas guide their writing.

The deadline for submissions is fast approaching, with students required to submit their entries by 15th November 2025. The jury, consisting of Dr. Eva Molitor, Ulrike Bröndner, Marianne Merle, and Heinz Armbruster, will select the best stories.

The prizes and certificates will be sponsored by the "Hanau Schools Storytelling Competition" foundation, although the name of the foundation that finances these awards is not publicly disclosed. The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, 21st March 2026.

For any press-related inquiries, please contact Florian Bauer at [email protected]. It's important to note that only students from Hanau schools are eligible to participate in this competition.

The Storytelling Competition continues to be a significant event in Hanau, fostering creativity and storytelling among the city's youth. So, if you're a student in Hanau, don't miss this opportunity to share your story!
