Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Discuses Education Reforms and National Education Policy with Odisha Chief Minister Majhi

On August 30, 2025, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid a visit to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's official residence for the first time. This meeting, described as a "courtesy call," was attended by several government officials, including Nityananda Gond, Saswat Mishra, Shalini Pandit, Manoj Kumar Sahoo, and Ananya Das.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed various matters related to the School, Mass Education, and Higher Education Department in Odisha. The discussion encompassed the country's and Odisha's education system, the New Education Policy, reforms in education, and steps for improvement of the education infrastructure in Odisha.

In a tweet posted by Shri @dpradhanbjp, the Union Education Minister also shared updates about the ongoing RRC WCR Apprentice Recruitment 2025. This recruitment, related to the Western Railway Circle, began on August 30, 2025, for 2,865 posts. Interested candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria and keep track of the ongoing recruitment process.

In a separate tweet, Minister Pradhan also announced the launch of student travel assistance by British Airways for Indian students flying to the UK. This initiative aims to provide support to students during their journey abroad.

Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that nearly 4 in 10 Delhi students attend private coaching, while this rate in Odisha is above the national average of 2 in 10 students attending private coaching. The exact figures for Odisha were not provided in the public source.
