Eighteen films will be screened at the Sochi Film Festival
The picturesque mountain resort of Sochi will once again play host to a significant cultural event, as the fourth edition of the New Season online cinema festival takes place from September 15 to 20.
This year's festival will see major producers presenting a series of world premieres, showcasing at least 18 series and films for the upcoming season. The event will bring together leading Russian video platforms, attracting both cinema lovers and industry professionals.
The festival will kick off with a special screening of the documentary film "Brother Forever" by directors Anna and Grigory Syalyanov. The film will be presented out of competition, providing a unique opening to the festival that is not limited to premieres of series and films for the upcoming season.
The competition program covers a variety of genres, including historical projects, comedies, dramas, thrillers, sci-fi, inclusive dramas, and animation. The festival is not just about competition films, as it offers a diverse range of cinematic experiences.
The festival is not the only event taking place in Sochi in September. On September 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is scheduled to meet with representatives of Arab countries in Sochi, a separate event from the New Season online cinema festival.
The New Season online cinema festival will take place in the same location as the meeting, making Sochi a hub of cultural and diplomatic activity in September. The festival promises to be an exciting and engaging event for all cinema enthusiasts, and a great opportunity to discover new and innovative films.
