Senior Citizen Robbed in Schöneberg, Berlin
Yesterday afternoon, an 84-year-old man was the victim of a robbery in an apartment building on Kleiststraße, Schöneberg, Berlin. The incident occurred around 3:35 PM.
According to reports, the suspect entered the elevator with the victim and his 80-year-old wife. The senior was wearing a chain, which was stolen by the unknown perpetrator. The suspect snatched the chain from the 84-year-old's neck and fled the elevator.
During the robbery, the senior attempted to hold the suspect, who then struck the senior on the head. The senior and his wife fell to the ground after the attack. The senior suffered bruises and skin abrasions on his upper body and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The suspect also kicked the senior while he was on the ground before fleeing the house. The perpetrator of the Mittagtages robbery in Schöneberg is not publicly known.
The investigation into the robbery is being led by a specialized unit for robbery cases from the Police Directorate 4 (South). The suspect is still at large, and the authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
