In the quiet town of Emmendingen, a shocking incident took place on Friday, August 22, 2025. A robbery occurred in an apartment, leaving the 73-year-old resident unharmed but shaken.

The suspect, a 31-year-old man with a slim build, black short hair, and a black full beard, was wanted in connection to this theft. Originally from Romania, he was already subject to an international arrest warrant after disappearing with his passport missing.

The suspect, who was arrested in Emmendingen on Friday, August 29, 2025, is believed to have entered the building around 7 PM through an unlocked entrance. He allegedly brandished what appeared to be a real firearm and demanded cash from the victim before fleeing with the stolen money. The exact amount stolen remains unknown.

During a search of his residence, police secured clothing likely worn during the crime, as well as a replica firearm and suspected clothing from the incident. The suspect was masked during the robbery.

The arrested suspect was brought before a judge the same day of his arrest, and a warrant was issued with certain conditions. A 41-year-old German man was also arrested as a prime suspect on August 29, in the Emmendingen district.

This incident serves as a reminder to always ensure the security of one's living quarters and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
