A fire broke out at a senior living facility in Besigheim, Ludwigsburg district, Germany. The exact number of residents in the home is unknown, but it is known that almost all were able to evacuate safely.

The fire occurred in the kitchen of the retirement home and quickly spread throughout the room. It is believed that the fire was caused by an electrical appliance malfunction in a residential unit. The estimated damage to the senior living facility is around 100,000 euros.

Two elderly residents were rescued from their balconies, and three residents were injured in the fire. The injured residents were taken to hospitals, but their current condition remains unknown. The fire department in Besigheim was called to the scene after a resident of the affected apartment tried to extinguish the fire and alerted the emergency services. The fire department used a ladder truck to rescue the elderly residents from the upper floors.
