On August 27, 2025, at around 12:50 PM, a serious traffic accident occurred on Herdecker Bach street in the town of Herdecke.

The drivers of all three vehicles were injured. The 82-year-old driver of the Honda and the 68-year-old driver of the Ford were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries. The 69-year-old driver of the Seat, who was traveling in the opposite direction, also sustained minor injuries.
The accident caused significant property damage and the street was fully closed during the accident investigation.
