BMW is making waves in the automotive industry with the launch of the iX3, the first model in its new series, the Neue Klasse. This trailblazing technology package will be unveiled at the IAA in Munich from 9th to 14th September.

The iX3 is a sleek and stylish electric SUV, measuring 4.78 meters in length and boasting a wheelbase of 2.90 meters. It offers improved rear passenger space and a larger boot, ranging from 520 to 1,750 liters, including the 58 liters in the so-called frunk (front trunk).

Under the hood, the iX3 is powered by two motors with a combined output of 345 kW/469 PS and 645 Nm. This powerhouse propels the iX3 from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h. The next model to be paired with the 3 Series will be an electric version of the i3.

The iX3's batteries can handle 800 volts and up to 400 kW charging, allowing for an impressive normal range of up to 805 kilometers. This new generation of batteries has an initial capacity of 109 kWh.

The interior of the iX3 features a fresh design, maintaining a familiar format and growing by only a few centimeters. The cockpit is a modern marvel, featuring a nearly square steering wheel, a slanted touchscreen, and a display strip that spans the entire width directly under the windshield.

Later powertrain variants of the iX3 will bring the price down to around €60,000, making it an affordable option for those seeking a high-performance electric SUV. The iX3 will be available alongside the X3 starting from spring.

BMW plans to introduce more than a dozen models from the Neue Klasse. The next model following the iX3 is the all-electric version of the 3 Series, which is expected to be introduced in 2026.

The iX3 is more than just a new model; it's a testament to BMW's commitment to sustainable mobility and innovative technology. This electric SUV is sure to turn heads and set new standards in the automotive industry.
