In a thrilling display of cycling prowess, Elise Chabbey, a member of the esteemed FDJ-Suez team, has claimed her first stage race victory of her career on the third stage of the Tour de Romandie Féminin.

Chabbey's impressive performance saw her win the mountain classification at the event and move up to second on the general classification, placing her just eight seconds behind the leader.

The overnight leader was dropped by Chabbey during the stage, with the Swiss rider finishing third on the day. However, her consistent performances throughout the race have seen her take the overall victory.

Chabbey's success was not achieved alone, with her teammate Juliette Labous providing valuable motivation during the race. The pair had a conversation during the third stage, which no doubt helped to spur Chabbey on to victory.

Chabbey's recent successes have not changed her status within the FDJ-Suez team, which is currently considered the best team in the world. The 25-year-old does not view being a leader as a status she particularly likes, instead preferring to focus on her love for cycling and working for the team.

Chabbey's aggressive riding style has been a key factor in her success, with the Swiss rider not afraid to take risks in order to achieve her goals. She enjoys working for the team leaders, specifically Demi Vollering, and is content with her role as an aggressive rider trying things in the team.

The Tour de Romandie Féminin is not the first time Chabbey has tasted success this season. She won the second stage of the race and also won a stage and the overall at the Tour de France Femmes.

Chabbey expressed her satisfaction with her win but emphasized that she rides for the love of cycling, not just for winning. She does not consider her role as a leader for Grand Tours, preferring to focus on her own performances and contributing to the team's success.

With her first stage race victory under her belt, Chabbey will no doubt be looking to build on this success in the future and continue to make her mark on the world of women's cycling.
