Embarking on a Vehicle Tour!
In the heart of Passau, the Spielmobil has rolled into town, bringing a world of creativity and play to the city's children. The mobile playground, which offers a variety of activities, has been attracting young minds since its arrival in August 2025.
Mayor Andreas Rother visited the Spielmobil at Bschüttpark on August 20, 2025. Accompanied by Stadtjugendring-Vorstand Tobias Waldherr and Stadtjugendring-Geschäftsführerin Karin Meyer, the Mayor was warmly welcomed by the children and staff.
The Spielmobil is an open concept where children decide whether to participate and when to come and go. The aim of the project is to encourage children's initiative and awaken their imagination and desire to play. The staff of Stadtjugendring Passau provide varied afternoon programs for the children, ensuring there is always something new and exciting to discover.
From August 20 to August 28, 2025, the Spielmobil can be found at the Playground at Breslauer Street. Following this, it will move to the Tennis-Club Passau-Neustift from August 21, 2025. The Spielmobil will return to Bschüttpark Passau on August 22 and 29, 2025, before setting up at the Playground at Breslauer Street once more. The Spielmobil will continue to operate in the city area until the end of August.
The Spielmobil's tour in August 2025 also includes a stop in the city of Herten, where it will park in front of the Freiwiese playground from August 29 until the end of the season on October 31. This year, the Spielmobil will visit five locations, one more than in previous years.
Participation in the Spielmobil is free and does not require registration. The activities are carried out with great dedication and pedagogical expertise, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. However, in case of rain, the activities at the Spielmobil will be canceled.
The Stadtjugendring Passau is responsible for the content and personnel of the Spielmobil project. The organisation has full-time and volunteer staff present daily from 1 to 5 pm, ensuring a consistent and engaging environment for the children.
The Spielmobil offers creative, entertaining, and playful activities for children aged 6 to 12. Through its open concept and focus on children's initiative, the Spielmobil is more than just a playground - it's a place where children can explore their imagination and develop their creativity.
