Energy advisory services available for residential properties in both corporate and religious districts
The city of Gießen, in partnership with the Hessian Energy Agency (LEA Hessia), is set to launch the "On-Site Energy Production" campaign from September 10 to November 19, 2025. This initiative, aimed at making residential buildings more energy-efficient and climate-friendly, especially in areas with high energy-saving potential, is open to homeowners in the Evangelical Settlement, Professor's Quarter, and two adjacent areas.
The campaign kicks off with an opening event on September 10 at 6:00 PM at the campus of the Technical University of Central Hesse. The event will feature a welcome by Mayor Alexander Wright, a presentation of the campaign, and information about district heating connections and heat pumps in the area. Homeowners can look forward to receiving initial individual recommendations and practical tips for the next steps during the consultations.
Mayor Wright has emphasized the approach of bringing energy production directly into the neighbourhoods. The campaign, which has been successful in previous years, as indicated by a great response, will offer homeowners the opportunity to receive free, individual energy production directly at their homes.
Qualified energy advisors will be available to answer individual questions after the presentation. The on-site consultations during the "On-Site Energy Production" campaign will focus on topics such as efficient heat protection, modern heating technology, and the optimal use of renewable energies.
Information stands of the city works Gießen, Sparkasse Gießen, and Volksbank Mittelhessen will provide further information on energy renovation, funding, and financing options. Interested property owners can now register online, by email, or by phone to schedule a consultation appointment.
The long-term goal of the campaign is to increase the energy renovation quota and strengthen the quality of living and climate protection in the community. By participating in this campaign, homeowners can contribute to a more sustainable future for their neighbourhoods.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference. Register today and join the movement towards a more energy-efficient and climate-friendly Gießen.
