Energy consulting service for residential homes in the business district and religious communities
The city of Gießen, in partnership with the Hessian Energy Agency (LEA Hessia), is running the "Active Energy Supply" campaign from September 10 to November 19, 2025. The goal of this campaign is to provide specific assistance to make residential buildings more energy-efficient and climate-friendly.
Mayor Alexander Wright has emphasized that the campaign's goal is not just to increase the energy renovation quota but also to strengthen the living quality and climate protection in their community in the long term. The campaign is open to homeowners of single and two-family homes in the Evangelical Settlement, Professor's Quarter, and two adjacent areas.
Interested property owners can now register for a consultation appointment online, by email, or by phone. The registration process is necessary to schedule a consultation appointment during the "Active Energy Supply" campaign. Participating homeowners receive initial individual recommendations and practical tips for the next steps.
The kick-off event for the campaign will take place on September 10 at 6:00 PM at the campus of the Technical University of Middle Hesse. Mayor Wright will deliver a welcome speech at the event, followed by a presentation of the campaign.
During the on-site consultations, homeowners can receive a free, individual energy consultation directly at their homes. The consultations focus on topics like efficient heat protection, modern heating technology, and the optimal use of renewable energies. Guests will learn about the possibilities of a district heating connection and the use of heat pumps in the area.
Qualified energy consultants will be available to answer individual questions during the event. Information stands of city works Gießen, Sparkasse Gießen, and Volksbank Middle Hesse will provide further information on energy renovation, funding, and financing options.
The campaign has received a great response in previous years, confirming its approach of bringing energy supply directly to neighborhoods. The aim is to increase the energy renovation quota and strengthen the living quality and climate protection in the community in the long term.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to make your home more energy-efficient and contribute to climate protection. Register now for a consultation appointment and take the first step towards a greener future.
