Enhancements in Mobile Networks: Döhlau Sees Improvement in Telekom Connectivity
In an effort to improve mobile connectivity, Deutsche Telekom AG has recently established a new mobile network site in Dohlau, a district in Kammerstein. This development is part of the company's accelerated mobile network expansion, as confirmed by Deutsche Telekom's spokesperson, Markus Jodl.
The new mobile network site has significantly boosted mobile internet coverage in Dohlau, with coverage now reaching 95 percent across the district. Additionally, the total bandwidth available in the area has increased, offering users faster and more reliable mobile internet services.
The advanced mobile location (AML) technology, supported by Telekom's mobile network sites in the district, ensures that emergency calls to 112 automatically transmit the caller's location to the emergency control center. This technology also enables cell broadcast, which sends danger warnings to mobile phones in the affected radio cell during emergencies such as major fires, gas explosions, or flooding.
Reception in buildings in Dohlau has also seen improvement, making it easier for residents and businesses to stay connected. Furthermore, the new mobile network site improves mobile network coverage across the district, ensuring a stronger signal for users.
Markus Jodl also highlighted that the demand for bandwidth is increasing by about 30 percent per year, which is why Deutsche Telekom is stepping up its pace of mobile network expansion. The company plans to expand eight mobile network sites with LTE or 5G in the Hof district over the next three years, in addition to the four new sites planned for Barthelmesaurach in Kammerstein.
Telekom currently operates 68 mobile network sites in the Hof district, and individuals can visit www.telekom.de/netzausbau to find out more about the availability of mobile networks in a specific area. For landlords who wish to offer land for mobile network sites, Deutsche Funkturm, the company responsible for building Telekom's mobile network sites, can be contacted at www.dfmg.de/standortangebot.
In a recent test by specialist magazines Chip, connect, ComputerBild, and Imtest, Deutsche Telekom was confirmed to have the best mobile network in Germany. This latest development in Dohlau underscores the company's commitment to delivering high-quality mobile services to its customers.
