The city of Marburg has expanded its open movement offers with the introduction of a senior movement offer, starting from August 27, 2025. This city-organised event, not an advertisement, is aimed at promoting health and movement among seniors.
The senior movement offer is part of the "Communal Movement Promotion for the Implementation of National Recommendations" (KOMBINE) project and forms part of the comprehensive concept for movement and health promotion in Marburg. The event will take place every fourth Wednesday of the month, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, in the City Forest, not at the Senior Café located on Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße 16.
The senior movement offer includes a variety of exercises designed to improve mobility, strength, and balance. These exercises will be tailored to individual abilities and knowledge, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all participants. The event is free of charge, making it accessible to everyone who wishes to attend.
