Enthusiastic wheelchair-bound supporters craft exclusive dance routine
In an extraordinary display of unity and visibility, the disabled fan club Nobbys Teufel has created the first-ever choreography for a game, taking place at the Fritz Walter Stadium against Darmstadt.
The choreography, a testament to the club's commitment to promoting unity among disabled fans, was carried out during the FCK game on the Betze in front of the south stand. Nicole Leppert, the chairwoman of Nobbys Teufel, masterminded the event, ordering 200 flags in red and white and a large banner for the occasion.
Nicole, who has been in a wheelchair for five years, founded the fan club with her husband just over a year ago. She was thrilled to see the eyes of many disabled fans shine with joy during the choreography, a sight that filled her with pride.
The cost of the choreography, totaling over 400 euros, was financed by donations collected by Nicole. Many disabled fans, even those who can't communicate much, were excited about the choreography, adding to the overall enthusiasm.
The choreography by Nobbys Teufel is believed to be the first of its kind carried out by a disabled fan club in full self-management. This historic moment was made possible by the efforts of its founder, Norbert Thines, who introduced the first wheelchair places in the stadium.
Norbert, who turned 85 on August 19th, is highly admired by the members of Nobbys Teufel. In fact, the fan club was named in his honour when it was founded in August 2024.
The disabled fans of Nobbys Teufel are looking forward to the FCK game with great anticipation, eager to continue making their mark in the world of football. The success of the choreography at the Fritz Walter Stadium is a significant step towards achieving their goal of promoting unity among disabled fans.
