The Integration Model Project at the ZUE continued to make strides last week, with a series of events that brought together residents, neighbours, and various organisations. The highlight of the weekend was on Saturday, August 25, where the community came together for a furniture workshop and a football tournament.

The football tournament, organised by SC Gremmendorf and supported by SC Preußen Münster, was a hit among all participants, regardless of age. The language of sports is indeed universal, as evidenced by the enjoyment experienced by everyone. The "ZUE Allstars", a team of ZUE residents, took part in the tournament, while the traditional team of SCP faced off against them. Despite a 0:3 loss for Preußen, the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship was palpable.

Meanwhile, the furniture workshop, organised by the Zentrenbeirat, saw people collaborating to create neighbourhood furniture with refugees. This collaborative effort was a testament to the project's aim of helping people in the ZUE overcome language barriers and foster a sense of community.

State President Andreas Bothe was in attendance, expressing his satisfaction with the project's progress. He was joined by Police President Alexandra Dorndorf, who was there for a project visit to help refugees understand the reliability, law-abiding nature, friendliness, and consistency of the German police.

The Integration Model Project, now in its tenth month, has already reached over 600 people with a variety of contacts. The small projects within the initiative are contributing significantly to its success. The project encourages participation and welcomes further project partners.

The Integration Model Project aims to help people in the ZUE understand democracy and the rules of coexistence, as well as to convey values. With the support of the community and various organisations, it seems that the project is well on its way to achieving its goals.

All participants in the model project, including State President Andreas Bothe and Police President Alexandra Dorndorf, believe in its success. As the project continues to grow and take effect, it is clear that it is making a positive impact on the ZUE community.
