IT Restaurant Brings Ibiza Vibe to London's Mayfair
IT, a renowned dining and socialising concept from Ibiza, has made its way to London. On the 10th of November 2019, the venue opened its doors in the heart of Mayfair, promising a unique experience that combines fine Mediterranean cuisine with the Balearic beat of Ibiza.
The restaurant, previously a Dover Street art gallery, now offers an elegant semi-private dining room with a dramatic skylight, suitable for private events. The upper levels of the venue provide a space with exclusivity similar to a members' club, but entrance is by invitation only.
Adriano Rausa, who comes from IT in Milan, has taken up the Head Chef position at IT London. He is joined by Chef Gennaro Esposito, who has previously worked at the two-Michelin-star restaurant Torre del Saracino. Diners can expect a mix of gourmet Mediterranean dishes at IT London, showcasing the authentic flavors of Chef Esposito's southern Italy, as well as a selection of IT's specialty pizzas with thin crusts.
The menu features Chef Esposito's signature Spaghetto al Pomodoro, Nocellara olive soup, fennel puree, and more. The traditional Neapolitan babà is expected to become a popular dessert option, offering an unforgettable taste of one of Italy's most famous delicacies.
Music is at the core of the London experience, similar to IT's sister restaurants. The venue's soundtrack is carefully curated to bring the energy of Ibiza to Mayfair, featuring daily DJ sets and events with world-class DJs. Photography is banned in the venue to ensure guests' absolute privacy.
Prime IGC, the main contractor, managed all aspects of the project from demolition to complete fit out, and also contributed to the design. The project's main contractor takes pride in exporting Italian excellence to clients worldwide.
Rachel from Prime IGC stated that the project has opened new doors for their team and enhanced their collaborations and partnerships in London. IT's London launch follows its April debut in Milan, where it was launched in partnership with entrepreneur Ferruccio De Lorenzo.
The launch of IT London marks a great opportunity for Prime IGC, as it showcases their ability to deliver high-end projects regardless of the size of the company. IT London is a part of a Michelin-recognized restaurant collection, promising a dining experience that is second to none.
