Accident on Airport Street in Dortmund-Scharnhorst: Mercedes Driver Suspected of Alcohol Consumption
A traffic accident occurred on September 7th on Airport Street in Dortmund-Scharnhorst, resulting in the closure of the road in both directions for investigation purposes.
According to reports, a Mercedes was driving off its lane and collided with a car driven by a 34-year-old resident of Dortmund in the oncoming lane. The driver of the Mercedes, a 43-year-old resident of Herne, was suspected of alcohol consumption.
As a result of the collision, three people were lightly injured: a 53-year-old passenger from Dortmund in the Mercedes, the driver of the oncoming vehicle, and his 29-year-old passenger from Dortmund.
The officers took the 43-year-old driver to a police station for a blood test, and they also seized his driver's license. The estimated property damage caused by the accident is approximately 20,000 euros.
