European Youth Card program now available to young residents of Tbilisi
The city of Tbilisi is set to join the European Youth Card network, offering young people aged 18 to 30 access to over 25,000 discounts across 40 countries. This exciting initiative was officially launched by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
Since its inception in 1986, the European Youth Card has been providing opportunities for young people to enjoy discounts on various services such as travel, accommodation, culture, sports, and education. The network includes a diverse range of businesses, including airlines, transport providers, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
Notable partners of the European Youth Card include airlines like Iberia Airways and transport providers such as FlixBus. In Georgia, international visitors will benefit from reduced prices in the city of Tbilisi, making it an even more attractive destination.
The Tbilisi City Hall is the exclusive partner of the European Youth Card Association in Georgia, with the local administration of the European Youth Card in Tbilisi being managed by the Georgian National Association of Student Youth (GNASY).
To facilitate the use of the European Youth Card, those using digital banking products can access its advantages directly through the Bank of Georgia's internet banking platform. The Bank of Georgia's CEO, Archil Gachechiladze, is involved in the European Youth Card program in Tbilisi.
The initiative will be managed locally by the Municipal Sports and Youth Center, ensuring a smooth implementation and maximum benefit for the youth of Tbilisi.
With the European Youth Card program being implemented in Tbilisi, Georgian youth will enjoy discounts across Europe, while international visitors will be able to take advantage of reduced prices in Georgia. This partnership not only encourages travel and exploration but also fosters a sense of unity and shared experiences among young people across Europe and Georgia.
The European Youth Card network currently includes 9.3 million cardholders, and with the addition of Tbilisi, this number is expected to grow. This is a significant step forward in promoting youth engagement, encouraging travel, and fostering cultural exchange in the region.
The European Youth Card is more than just a card; it's a passport to adventure, a key to savings, and a bridge connecting young people across Europe and beyond. Starting this autumn, Tbilisi's youth will have the opportunity to experience this for themselves.
