Evolution of Marburger Bicycle Sharing Program
The City of Marburg is set to enhance its Bikesharing System, with the addition of 23 electric cargo bicycles scheduled for October 2024. This expansion comes as part of the city's ongoing evaluation of the system, which has been in operation since 2017.
Currently, the Marburg Bikesharing System comprises 380 bicycles and 55 stations, designed for various purposes such as family outings, large purchases, and picnics. The city is responsible for the system, and it has been a popular choice among residents for commuting and leisure activities.
To gather feedback on the system's usage and potential improvements, the City of Marburg has collaborated with Infas Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft GmbH to create a short survey. The questionnaire, available at easy-feedback.de/Marburg/1961660/N4Onq3, takes approximately ten minutes to complete and is open to all, regardless of whether they use the bicycle and cargo bike rental system or not.
Some of the questions asked in the survey include why the system is not being used (yet), desired improvements, and if car journeys have been replaced with a rental cargo bike. The city encourages all citizens to participate in the survey, as their feedback will help shape the future of the Marburg Bikesharing System.
In addition to the expansion and the survey, the city has also announced the addition of 23 electric cargo bicycles to the system. These new bicycles are suitable for large purchases, family outings, or picnics in the park, making them an excellent addition to the current fleet.
With these changes, the Marburg Bikesharing System is poised to become an even more attractive and sustainable transportation option for the city's residents. Whether you're a frequent user or considering giving it a try, your feedback is valuable and can help shape the future of this eco-friendly initiative. So, take a few minutes to complete the survey and help make a difference in your city!
