Exciting Features Abound on Ather EL Platform: Crucial Information You Need

The electric vehicle landscape is about to see a new addition with the unveiling of Ather's latest creation, the Ather EL01. This entry-level electric scooter is built on the unique and scalable Ather EL platform, a unibody steel frame that promises a new era in electric mobility.

The Ather EL01 is designed to run on a new powertrain and a fully re-engineered software stack, the latter being the AtherStack 7.0. This significant software upgrade brings a host of new features to the table, such as crash alerts, pothole alerts, and theft-protection systems like ParkSafe and LockSafe. The AtherStack 7.0 also enables voice-based interaction on the new electric scooter, making it more user-friendly than ever before.

The Ather EL01 is not just a technological marvel; it is also designed with practicality in mind. It runs on 14-inch wheels and boasts all-LED lighting at the front and rear. The scooter also offers a large boot space for twin helmets under the seat and a spacious floorboard, providing ample storage for daily essentials.

The Ather EL platform allows for the placement of battery packs of various sizes, ranging from 2 kWh to 5 kWh, under the floorboard. This flexibility ensures that the Ather EL01 can cater to different user needs. The new scooter also incorporates a charge drive controller that integrates the onboard charger with the motor controller, promising efficient power management.

The Ather EL platform is modular, allowing quick breeding of different models based on it. This means we can expect to see more electric vehicles from Ather in the near future, all built on this innovative platform.

The Ather EL01 also boasts an Advanced Electronic Braking System (AEBS) for improved safety. Additionally, the next-generation fast charging system showcased by the company offers twice as fast charging speeds, capable of offering 30 km of range with just 10 minutes' charge.

The Ather EL01 is manufactured at Ather's Sambhaji Nagar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The company claims that the Ather EL platform has fewer components, which means the cost of production can be minimized. The scooter also features a patented AC-DC module, resulting in an on-board charging wire tucked inside the storage, further enhancing its user-friendly design.

The upcoming electric scooter built on the Ather EL platform will also get Infinite Cruise, a bespoke cruise control system designed for Indian road conditions. The new software is reverse compatible with existing Ather electric scooters and will be rolled out via an OTA update.

In conclusion, the Ather EL01 is a promising addition to the electric vehicle market, offering a blend of technology, practicality, and safety. With its unique features and innovative design, it is set to redefine the electric scooter landscape in India.
