The city of Menden has taken a significant step towards promoting social participation and making sports and culture accessible to all children. They have developed a questionnaire for first-graders to fill out about their club experiences.
All first-graders at the start of the school year receive a voucher that allows them to join a sports or cultural club for free for a year. This voucher can be redeemed throughout elementary school.
The questionnaire, directed at the children, aims to encourage more children to participate in clubs and feel comfortable in club life. It takes only a few minutes to complete and can be accessed and filled out using the link www.our website/firstgrader voucher.
The questionnaire asks if children have received and understood the voucher, if they have redeemed the voucher and participated in a club, how they feel in the club, and for ideas to make club life more enjoyable for more children. Answers in the questionnaire remain anonymous.
