The Schoelerberg Museum has announced an exciting lineup of events for the fall season of 2025. The program, spanning from September to December, promises over 200 events at the museum, planetarium, and environmental education center.

Kicking off the season is the special exhibition "Rock Fossils on Tour," running from September 20 to December 30. This unique cultural experience merges the history of evolution with modern music legends, creating a fascinating connection between ancient prehistoric creatures (fossils) and rock music. Detailed models and interactive stations bring this union to life, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that combines earth history and rock music.

For those with a fascination for the stars, the planetarium will offer three new shows starting from September 14, 16, and 24 respectively: "Expedition Space - I. The Solar System," "Galaxy - Journey through the Milky Way," and "Himmelwärts" by Karen Köhler. "Himmelwärts" is a play featuring figure play and live sounds, where a protagonist tries to contact her deceased mother with a self-made device but instead communicates with an astronaut.

Lectures and readings on paleontology and rock music are also part of the special exhibition. Four such events are scheduled, including "Forensic medicine & paleontology - an alliance for past life" by Dr. Achim Reisdorf on November 14, "Another primordial day - The paleo metal diaries" by Prof. Dr. Mats Eriksson on October 25, "Bernstein rocks!" by Dr. Arnold Staniczek on October 9, and a lecture by Dr. Sophia Kimmig on her book "Lebendige Nacht - vom verborgenen Leben der Tiere" on November 4.

Two large creative weekends for Halloween and Christmas are planned. Halloween crafting will take place on October 26 from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Christmas crafting will occur on December 20 from 2 PM to 6 PM and December 21 from 10 AM to 6 PM. Garden workshops tailored to the season will also be offered, covering topics like storing harvest, preparing the garden for the cold season, or making liqueur.

The large action weekend from October 9 to 12 offers drawing workshops, record fair, live music, motorcycle show, and further offers within the "Rock Fossils on Tour" exhibition. The "BananaRama - A research journey to the banana" traveling exhibition will be on display at the Schoelerberg Museum from October 18 to November 15. This exhibition explores the banana as an important research object and shows how new varieties are bred, the role of modern technologies in cultivation, and the significance of species variety for global food security.

To round off the season, "Hard, Heavy & Happy" by Dr. Nico Rose with live music by the band "Acoustic Steel" is scheduled for November 27.

With such a diverse and engaging program, the Schoelerberg Museum promises an unforgettable autumn for visitors of all ages and interests. Mark your calendars and get ready for a journey through space, time, and music!
