In Imperial County, California, Blink Charging has announced the installation of 10 new 180 kW dual-port DC fast chargers at Imperial Center, a commercial and retail hub along State Route 111. This strategic location, which serves thousands of daily drivers and is an essential north-south artery connecting several cities, including Mexicali, El Centro, Brawley, and the Coachella Valley, will now provide EV drivers with the confidence to travel more easily between Mexico and the rest of Southern California.

The installation of these chargers is taking place at a key transportation junction along SR-111, near the US-Mexico border. Mike Battaglia, President and CEO at Blink Charging, stated that this move enables EV drivers to travel more confidently between Mexico and the rest of Southern California. The chargers will support long-haul travelers along the I-8 corridor, offering convenient access to Interstate 8, facilitating east-west travel between San Diego and Arizona.
