Expanded funding of $25 million propels the rapid expansion of remote patient monitoring in France and beyond
Resilience, a leading remote patient care solution in oncology, has announced the successful completion of an additional $25 million funding round. This investment will enable the company to extend its reach to a greater number of patients in France and abroad.
The funding round was led by Picus Capital and Red River West, with participation from Cathay Innovation, Singular, Seaya Ventures, and others. Cathay Innovation, a multistage venture capital firm with offices in Paris, Berlin, San Francisco, Shanghai, and Singapore, manages over €2.5B AUM and has invested in over 100 startups, including Chime, Pinduoduo, Glovo, Wallbox, Owkin, Getaround, Ledger, ZenBusiness, Alma, Descartes Underwriting, and more.
Resilience was co-founded with Gustave Roussy, the leading cancer center in Europe. The company's remote patient monitoring platform and mobile application are designed for patients with cancer and aim to personalize, humanize, and enhance the care pathway, thereby improving patients' quality of life.
Resilience's remote monitoring medical device in oncology was the first to be reimbursed by the national social security in France in October 2023. The device is a Class IIa medical device and supports over 10,000 patients.
The company partners with more than 90 centers and plans to expand its deployment in Belgium, where its solution is already used in three medical centers: Jules Bordet Institute, CHU Saint Pierre, and Clinique Saint-Luc Bouge. Resilience also aspires to expand its development in Germany, where there are 500,000 new cancers each year.
In addition to its expansion plans, Resilience will present several abstracts on remote monitoring, determinants of health, and digital supportive care at various congresses this year, including ASCO, EHA, BSMO, AFSOS, and MASCC. The company is also involved in 19 ongoing clinical studies.
Resilience seeks to become the European leader in remote follow-up care for patients with chronic diseases. To achieve this goal, the company collaborates with academic and industrial partners on two European projects: 'CARE1' and 'e-Quol'.
