Expanding its Australian operations, Bastion collaborates with Seamless Intelligence through a merger

Bastion Security Group, a leading cybersecurity company, has announced its latest acquisition - Seamless Intelligence, a specialist cybersecurity managed services provider based in Perth, Australia. This marks Bastion's second acquisition in Australia, following the recent acquisition of Melbourne-based cyber security managed services provider Cythera.

Established in 2018, Seamless Intelligence has grown to employ approximately 25 cybersecurity professionals. The integration aims to strengthen the Group's managed services capabilities and enhance Bastion's presence in the Australian market. Seamless' blue-chip customer relationships, exceptional service delivery, and differentiated technical capabilities complement Bastion Security Group's mission to provide best-in-class protection against cyber threats.

Seamless Intelligence provides security information and event management and security operations centre services to blue-chip enterprise and Government clients. The company has developed a suite of in-house proprietary tools to support effective service delivery. The merger enhances Bastion Security Group's Australian presence and reinforces its commitment to delivering market-leading cyber security services across Australia and New Zealand.

The integration is expected to provide broader capabilities and greater coverage for Seamless' customers. They will gain access to Bastion's extended service offering and complementary managed services products. Seamless' customers will also benefit from enhanced managed services support coverage, including access to both Australian East Coast and New Zealand support staff.

The specific leadership employees of Seamless Intelligence who remain initially in office after the acquisition by Bastion Security Group are not publicly disclosed. However, Seamless CEO, Christopher Bolan, states that joining forces with Bastion is a natural evolution for Seamless Intelligence. He expresses his excitement about the opportunities this merger presents for both companies.

Bastion Security Group's CEO, Eugene Gibney, shares similar sentiments, stating that the acquisition of Seamless Intelligence is an important step in building a trans-Tasman cybersecurity powerhouse. He believes that the combined expertise and resources of both companies will create significant value for their customers and stakeholders.

The acquisition of Seamless Intelligence is expected to complete in the September 2025 quarter. The leadership team at Seamless will remain in place after the acquisition, ensuring a smooth transition for the company's employees and customers. This merger is good news for all stakeholders, including staff, management, and customers of both companies.

Both Bastion and Seamless share values of delivering outstanding cybersecurity outcomes through transparency, technical rigour, and trust. This shared vision bodes well for the future of the combined entity, as they work together to address the growing cybersecurity challenges faced by businesses and governments in Australia and New Zealand.
