Expansion of Apple Intelligence for iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices to additional languages and geographic locations is scheduled for April
Apple has announced significant updates to its operating systems and a new device, set to roll out in February and April 2025. Developers are encouraged to test the new releases of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 from February 21, 2025.
These updates are intended for iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices, and will bring Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system, to a wider audience. Apple Intelligence delivers helpful and relevant information, designed to protect users' privacy at every step.
For iPhone and iPad users in the EU, this will mark their first time gaining access to Apple Intelligence features. The expansion of Apple Intelligence is not limited to specific regions, and it will be available nearly all around the world, including English localization in Singapore and India.
In April, the availability of Apple Intelligence in these new languages will be accompanied by the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4. Many of the models that power Apple Intelligence run entirely on the device, but for requests that require access to larger models, Private Cloud Compute extends the privacy and security of iPhone into the cloud.
The new releases are not just about Apple Intelligence, though. They also bring several improvements and new features to the devices themselves. For instance, the new iPadOS 18.4 is expected to offer advanced multitasking capabilities, while macOS Sequoia 15.4 will see enhancements in productivity and creativity tools.
But the most exciting announcement might be the introduction of Apple Vision Pro, a new platform designed to help users communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in new ways. Apple Vision Pro will feature an advanced next-generation chip, likely the M5 or M4, a redesigned head strap for improved comfort, and enhanced spatial data processing through visionOS 2 and visionOS 26 with spatial photo transformations.
The device will support intuitive gestures, home screen customization, mouse support, AI-generated spatial scenes, expressive personas, spatial widgets, immersive content support (180- and 360-degree media), and compatibility with PlayStation VR2 Sense controller. It will also integrate Apple Intelligence AI features like image generation and improved Siri.
