Expansion of Care Providers' Network

In a commendable initiative, a training session was held on June 4, 2025, aimed at equipping helpers with the necessary skills to provide daily support services to elderly individuals who wish to stay in their familiar homes. The training, organised by the local authority and the Alzheimer Society of Nuremberg, took place over 30 lessons and was in accordance with § 45a SGB XI.

Elisabeth Strasser, the county's senior representative, expressed her gratitude towards the trainer and the participants for their commitment to daily companionship. She also expressed her joy that the support network for older people in the county had become closer as a result of this training.

The training focused on various aspects of household management, including hygiene, cleaning, nutrition, and accident prevention, as well as psychological and geriatric psychiatric illnesses. Attitude and boundaries for helpers interacting with people in need of care were addressed, and effective communication methods with individuals with dementia were discussed.

The training aimed to prepare helpers for both voluntary and non-voluntary service provision, with two-thirds of the training time dedicated to dealing with people in need of care and those with dementia. The daily support services, which can be provided by professional service providers or volunteers, are not for "classic" care, but for household tasks and companionship.

The care insurance funds provide a monthly relief allowance of 131 euros for these daily support services, and the training also aimed to relieve family caregivers. The high demand for the training led to a scheduled repeat for the following year.

However, there is no relevant information available about Renate Frischhut or her role in conducting training for providing daily care services in the provided search results.

Elisabeth Strasser, in her closing remarks, thanked the participants once again for their dedication and commitment, expressing her hope that the knowledge and skills they had gained would make a significant difference in the lives of the elderly individuals they would be serving.
