Expansion of Mercedes-Benz Museum Incorporates Energy Company Engie
Engie Continues to Manage Technical Operations at Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart
The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, a major attraction that welcomes approximately 800,000 visitors each year, has had Engie Germany as its trusted partner for technical building operations since 2018. The contract, which has recently been extended, includes the management of technical outdoor facilities, as well as all catering facilities, kitchen areas, and other facilities on the museum premises.
Alexander Häfele, the Head of Facility Management in the Facility Solutions department at the Engie branch in Stuttgart, expressed his pride in contributing to the museum's success. "We are committed to ensuring smooth technical operations and a brand-appropriate presentation of the building and technical outdoor facilities," he said.
Engie's responsibilities extend beyond the museum building itself. The company also manages technical building operations in the connecting building with the shop, as well as in the adjacent Mercedes-Benz Center. In addition to these duties, Engie has secured the contract for technical building management and support in event management for the museum.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum, spanning over 16,500 square meters of exhibition space, houses around 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits. Beyond its role as a museum, the building is also used as a venue. Engie's technical services for the museum extend to all public and non-public areas, ensuring a seamless experience for both visitors and event attendees.
The extension of the contract, which now runs until the end of July 2023, underscores Engie's commitment to the success of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. As the museum continues to attract visitors from around the world, Engie will continue to play a vital role in maintaining its technical operations and ensuring its continued success.
