The journey was far from smooth. The Cybertruck encountered multiple issues, including a broken steering rack and charging problems. Off-road enthusiasts who work at Tesla assisted in getting the truck back on the trail after the steering rack issue at Cadillac Hills. A modified Jeep Wrangler accompanied the Cybertruck as a support vehicle, and it was used to drag the Tesla along and to carry spare parts.
The Rubicon Trail's terrain is challenging for full-size trucks without modifications, and the Cybertruck's run was no exception.
