Explored Jetboil's deluxe outdoor cooking unit during a family journey; single-burner stoves are a thing of the past for me now.

Experienced a camping excursion with Jetboil's elite cooking equipment for campers, which has since eliminated my reliance on traditional one-burner stoves.

The Jetboil Genesis Basecamp Stove is revolutionising the way car campers prepare meals on their trips. This portable, all-in-one system for cooking offers a more luxurious option for those who prefer cooking more than just basic camping food.

At its heart, the Genesis Basecamp Stove is a folding 2-burner stove, designed for convenience and efficiency. It can boil 32 oz (1 litre) of water in just 3 minutes and 15 seconds, making it an ideal choice for those who want a quick and reliable cooking solution. The stove fits snugly into the carry bag supplied with the kit, ensuring easy transportation.

The stove can be used on any surface, but it's best if elevated off the ground. This design feature allows for optimal performance, particularly in windy conditions. Simultaneous cooking of eggs and warming water for tea or coffee is possible with the Genesis Basecamp Stove, making it a versatile choice for campers.

The full kit weighs only 9.1 lbs (4.1 kg), making it a lightweight addition to your camping gear. The kit includes a 5L FluxRing Cook Pot, a 10" ceramic-coated fry pan, windscreen, fuel regulator, and fuel can stabiliser. The stove requires both burners to be used on the cooking surface, and the provided pots and pans are generously sized, offering ample space for preparing meals.

One notable feature of the Genesis Basecamp Stove is its piezo igniter, eliminating the need for matches or lighters. This feature adds to the convenience of the stove, making it easier to use, even in challenging outdoor conditions.

The Genesis Basecamp Stove is compatible with any pan, not just the ones included in the kit, providing campers with the flexibility to use their preferred cookware. However, backpackers may find smaller Jetboil models or the Primus Micron III more suitable for their needs due to their lighter weight and compact size.

During a recent road trip, the Genesis Basecamp Stove was used for cooking breakfast and dinner, demonstrating its practicality and efficiency in real-world situations. Despite its windscreen being somewhat challenging to position properly, requiring loose coverage for sufficient protection, the stove performed admirably, providing hot meals in a short amount of time.

The Genesis Basecamp Stove is available at Jetboil US and Jetboil UK for the recommended retail price of $449.99/ £399 (~AU$691.10). For car campers seeking a more comfortable and efficient cooking solution, the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp Stove is definitely worth considering.
