Explored the latest Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro smartwatch: Here are 5 key features to keep in mind about this beastly timepiece

The Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro has made its mark in the world of smartwatches, offering a robust and versatile device for outdoor enthusiasts and everyday users alike.

Both the Pro models of the T-Rex 3 series boast a maximum display brightness of 3,000 nits, ensuring clear visibility in any light conditions. Like its counterpart, the Garmin Instinct 3, the T-Rex 3 Pro comes equipped with an onboard LED flashlight, perfect for those late-night adventures.

The T-Rex 3 Pro supports a wide range of physical activities, from winter sports like snowboarding to more unconventional pursuits such as hula hooping, chess, and checkers. Its water resistance rating of 100 meters makes it suitable for diving and high-speed watersports.

The T-Rex 3 Pro is available in two sizes: a 44mm and a 48mm model. The larger 48mm version is more substantial, making it a noticeable difference on a 6.5-inch wrist. The smaller 44mm size, while not yet officially released in Europe, is expected to follow a similar price point of €399, which is the general price for the T-Rex 3 Pro models.

The Pro model offers several upgrades over the standard T-Rex 3. It uses a more advanced satellite positioning system, accessing six satellites compared to the standard model's two. This upgrade ensures more accurate navigation, especially in challenging terrains.

The T-Rex 3 Pro also offers navigational tools with turn-by-turn directions and support for a large number of ski and snowboard mountain maps worldwide. Its LED flashlight features adjustable output and the ability to toggle between white and red light, providing versatility for various situations.

In terms of battery life, the T-Rex 3 Pro outperforms the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in GPS mode, with the larger model lasting for 38 hours in max GPS mode. In smartwatch mode, the battery life is similar to the standard T-Rex 3, with a rating of 27 days in normal smartwatch mode.

The T-Rex 3 Pro's features, battery life, fitness tracking, navigational tools, and build quality are comparable to some of the best smartwatch models in 2025. The buttons and bezel materials have been upgraded from stainless steel to Grade 5 titanium alloy, adding to the premium feel of the device.

However, the T-Rex 3 Pro's price is higher than the standard T-Rex 3, reflecting its ultra-premium smartwatch experience. Despite the slightly reduced battery life in max GPS mode compared to the standard T-Rex 3, the T-Rex 3 Pro's battery life remains respectable compared to the competition.

The T-Rex 3 Pro's screen is protected by sapphire glass, making it more resilient to scratches and impact compared to Gorilla Glass. With its durable build, extensive features, and impressive battery life, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro is a compelling choice for those seeking a rugged and feature-rich smartwatch.
