A traffic accident occurred on September 7 in Dortmund-Scharnhorst, as reported by the Dortmund Police via news aktuell. The incident took place on Airport Street and resulted in the closure of the road in both directions for an ongoing investigation.

According to the information provided, a 43-year-old man from Herne was driving a Mercedes that veered off its lane and collided with a car from Dortmund in the oncoming lane. As a result, three individuals were lightly injured: a 53-year-old passenger from Dortmund in the Mercedes, the driver of the oncoming vehicle, and his 29-year-old passenger from Dortmund.

The 43-year-old driver was taken to a police station for a blood test, and it was confirmed that he had consumed alcohol. Consequently, his driver's license was seized. The estimated property damage caused by the accident is approximately 20,000 euros.
