Extra EUR 220,000 allocated for stock exchange and dyeing sector
In a recent announcement, Helge Lindh, SPD politician from Wuppertal, expressed his pleasure about the federal funding granted to two forward-thinking projects in the field of website culture, free scene, and socio-cultural centres. The projects, 'Fábrica' and 'die börse', have been supported by the Committee on the Budget, recognising their special quality and performance.
'Fábrica', a creative hub set to establish the 'Academy of the Street', aims to strengthen the performative artistic work of the artist group 'Mobile Oasis' and promote its transfer to the city and region. The Academy will include new, unusual actions and interventions, adding a fresh dynamic to the local arts scene. 'Fábrica' will receive an additional 100,000 euros for the setup of the Academy.
'Die börse', on the other hand, will establish the 'Competence Center AI, Art, and Culture Wuppertal' at the Elberfeld Cloud Castle. This centre aims to make AI opportunities accessible to all, bridging the gap between artistic work and technical and legal consulting. The federal government is providing nearly 120,000 euros for this initiative.
Lindh congratulated the successful project carriers and wished them success in their implementation. He also acknowledged the federal government's support, viewing it as part of broader investments in social and cultural projects benefiting the city.
Both 'Fábrica' and 'die börse' have integrated several social, cultural, and economic megatrends into their concepts. However, Lindh did not specify any specific trends in this announcement.
The SPD politician was pleased that the projects have remained on track despite budget delays due to new elections. He expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of his efforts in Berlin.
The federal government's support for 'die börse' and 'Fábrica' will enable the transfer of successful actions for actors across the federal territory. 'Fábrica' will continue and expand its open and performative work in the neighbourhood with the 'Academy of the Street'.
Lindh also announced that 'die börse' will establish a competence centre for AI, art, and culture, combining practical artistic work with technical and legal consulting. The Centre is set to become a beacon of innovation and creativity in Wuppertal.
In conclusion, the federal government's investment in 'Fábrica' and 'die börse' marks a significant step forward in supporting innovative arts and culture projects. These initiatives are poised to bring fresh perspectives and opportunities to the local community, fostering a vibrant and dynamic arts scene in Wuppertal.
